The history of Medicine has outstanding professionals and appropriate moments, capable of stimulating and contributing to the learning of several of its disciplines.This paper, based on the life of the anatomist and histologist Friedrich Gustav Jacob Henle, addresses striking events he experienced, the historical context and the subsequent artistic impact they had, apt to motivate and encourage learning of Anatomy and Histology and, in addition, to enrich the general culture of the students, essential for those who will practice Medicine.
