Abstract

The article makes reference to a fictional conversation between Giuseppe Verdi and Arrigo Boito regarding Julio César’s Shakespearean drama aimed at preparing the plot, for a supposed opera that the composer would later take to the pentagram. The dialogue takes place in the Verdi´s Villa and focuses mainly on the typology of the central characters, Julius Caesar, Brutus, and Cassius.
